NEW 3D PIV Software

We developed another approach to reconstruct particle positions from multiple camera views in order to obtain 3D PIV data. The photogrammetric back projection allows fast evaluation of 3D PIV data from multiple cameras - starting with only two. The background of the algorithm will be presented at GALA 2011 in Ilmenau.

LED-PIV

We are now bundling our HiPower LED illumination units with a low-cost PIV camera with excellent features. In addition you will receive a copy of the new PIVTecILA software which is a mixture of the well known PIVView software from PIVTec and some additional tools for distributed processing from us. Are you ready for a PIVTecILA?

We recently decided to work intensively together with PIVTec regarding a new PIV Software we call PIVTecILA. Here we use the well known PIV algorithms from PIVTec and combine them with a new, very comprehensive and fast user interface. We decided to reprogram everything under Qt, so you can run the software under Windows, Linux and even Mac OS. We believe that this is a quite big benefit for all users. The processing speed of the new software linearly scales with the number of processors in a multicore system. We are now offering an upgrade service for all VidPIV users.
